How this work is made
Everything here is a working reference, not a legal text, and it is only worth citing if you can see how it was assembled. This is that account.
What we publish
Structured reference data on ADR road transport: the ADR 2027 Table A comparison, hazard identification numbers, classes, labels, limited quantities, driving bans, tank lining compatibility and Dutch enforcement. Each is a dataset with a page around it, not an article with a table in it.
Which sources we use
Official and primary documents only, cited by reference number on the page that rests on them. For ADR 2027 that is ECE/TRANS/WP.15/274 with its corrigendum and addendum, and the UN depositary notification C.N.252.2026.TREATIES-XI.B.14. The baseline is the BAM Datenbank GEFAHRGUT ADR 2025 dataset. Dutch material comes from the official Dutch ADR published by the Ministry of Infrastructuur en Waterstaat.
How amendments are handled
Transcribed verbatim rather than paraphrased, then keyed to the UN numbers they affect. A paraphrase of a regulatory instrument is a new claim; a transcription is a quotation, and a reader can check it.
What we refuse to publish
We do not machine extract data we cannot verify. The full ADR Table A was extracted from the official Dutch text by word coordinates and validated at 79 percent on class and packing group and 29 percent on tunnel restriction code, largely because a UN number carries one Table A row per packing group. That extraction was discarded rather than shipped. Where a UN number is outside our verified set, the page says so.
Versioning
Every dataset carries a dataset version and a methodology version. Superseded releases stay reachable under /v/ so a citation does not rot, and the current ADR 2027 release is archived with a DOI at 10.5281/zenodo.21437099.
Corrections
Every reference page carries a correction log and a route to report an error. A reported error is dated and documented in the open. Nothing is silently overwritten, because a quiet correction is indistinguishable from a page that was always right.
Limitations
These are working references. The official ADR text and the national law implementing it govern. Where an independent check against the official text has not been completed, the page states that rather than implying it has.
Licence and reuse
CC BY 4.0, free to reuse commercially with attribution. Embeddable versions of the tables are provided with the attribution link outside the frame, and machine readable JSON and CSV are offered where the data supports it.
