Dutch road costs changed in July 2026

Car carrier work from Germany into the Netherlands now carries a Dutch per kilometre charge. The vrachtwagenheffing started on 1 July 2026 and replaced the Eurovignette, applying to domestic and foreign vehicles above 3,500 kg on motorways and part of the provincial network.

  • Average rate is 19.1 cent per kilometre in 2026, varying by weight, euro class and CO2 class
  • A temporary 22.3 percent reduction applies from 1 September to 31 December 2026
  • German departures pause on Sundays and public holidays from 00:00 to 22:00 for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes
  • Transporters are typically 8 to 9 cars, so per unit cost moves with how full the deck runs

What Makes This Corridor Different

1

Multi-pickup consolidation: we collect from 3-5 different German locations and deliver to one Dutch lot in a single carrier run.

2

Saturday availability on request for urgent dealer stock that needs to be on the lot by Monday.

3

Randstad delivery within 3 days from NRW. Bavaria to Randstad in 4-5 days.

4

Regular weekly departures, not ad hoc. Your cars move on a schedule, not when a truck happens to be available.

NRW to the Netherlands is the shortest and cheapest corridor. Bavaria costs more because of distance. Full loads (7 to 9 cars) cut your per-car cost by up to 50% compared to shipping one car at a time.
