What we check, and what we expect

A brokerage that places dangerous goods without checking who is carrying them is a liability to everybody in the chain, including the carrier. This is our framework.

Chain responsibility is why this matters to you

Dangerous goods transport is a chain responsibility. Anyone holding a role described in ADR chapter 1.4 can be cited, and more than one party can be responsible for the same offence at the same time. That reaches the consignor, the carrier, the loader and the unloader, not only the driver.

So the checks below are not administrative theatre. When something goes wrong, the question is who was responsible for what, and the answer is decided by documents.

What we expect on the road

Load securing that holds

Secured to the standard the load calls for. A shifted load is a claim and, on a dangerous goods movement, an offence.

Marking and placarding correct

Orange plates, placards and labels as the consignment requires. Our marking checkpoints are the same list we use.

The routing that was agreed

Tunnel restrictions and mandatory routings are part of the job, not a suggestion.

Documents in the cab

Transport document, instructions in writing, driver certificate and, where relevant, the cleaning certificate.

Incidents

Tell the operational desk immediately, with the transport reference. For a leak, a spillage, a fire or an enforcement stop, the priority is the driver's safety and the statutory obligations, and telling us does not replace either.

We notify the consignor and the consignee, we record what happened, and where a corrective step is needed on our side we make it. The process for a claim is set out in rates and payment.

What we do not claim

Vektor holds no ISO or SQAS certification and this page does not imply one. We are a brokerage that verifies its carriers and documents what it does. If a certification becomes relevant to the work we place, it will appear here with its scope and its certificate number, and not before.

Your capacity, our freight network

Tell us what you run and where you run it. We come back when there is freight that fits, not before.
