The questions carriers actually ask
Answered from what Vektor actually does. Where a policy is still being set, the answer says so instead of inventing one.
Joining
How do I become a Vektor carrier?
Complete the carrier onboarding. It asks about your company, fleet, operating area, ADR capability and availability, then your documents. We verify them and activate you.
How long does it take?
The form takes a few minutes. Verification depends on how quickly the documents arrive and whether they are current.
Can a newly formed company apply?
Yes. We check the licence, the insurance and the registration, not how long you have existed.
Do I have to be based in Germany or the Netherlands?
No. Those are our densest lanes, not a membership condition. What matters is whether your corridors overlap with the freight we place.
What does it cost?
Nothing. There is no fee to join the network and no subscription.
The work
Which countries do you place freight in?
Germany and the Netherlands are the densest lanes, with regular work to and from Belgium, the Baltic states, Scandinavia, Italy, Finland, Poland and Estonia. The loads page lists them.
What types of freight?
Full loads, packed dangerous goods, tank and bulk liquid, bulk powder, temperature controlled and equipment dependent movements.
Do you work with ADR carriers?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we place. The ADR page sets out what is required and what you can expect.
How are loads offered?
In writing, with the route, cargo, weight, dimensions, equipment, timing, ADR detail, site constraints and the rate. You accept or decline.
Can I reject a load?
Yes, and it does not affect what you are offered next. Declining an unsuitable load is better for both of us than accepting and handing it back.
Can I choose which countries I get offers for?
Yes. Your profile carries the countries and corridors you want, and we match against it.
Requirements and documents
What documents do you need?
Commercial register extract, transport licence, current CMR carrier liability certificate and your fleet detail. For ADR work, the driver certificate, the 1.3 training records, the vehicle approval certificate for tanks and confirmation of your safety adviser.
What insurance is required?
Current CMR carrier liability cover, verified before your first load. The minimum sum is being set as policy and is not published yet; ask us and you will get the current position.
Do you require a minimum vehicle age or emission standard?
We do not publish one. The freight sets the requirement, and where a shipper or a site imposes a standard it is named in the offer.
Is telematics required?
Preferred, not required. It shortens the questions while a load is running.
Running the job
Who do I contact during transport?
The desk that booked the job. One contact from booking to proof of delivery.
What happens if the shipment changes?
Tell us as early as you can. If the scope changes, extra distance, extra waiting, another drop, a cleaning requirement, we agree a new number with you before it happens rather than afterwards.
How do I submit transport documents?
Signed CMR and proof of delivery to the operational contact, with the transport reference on them.
Can I subcontract a load?
Agreed case by case, in advance. Chain responsibility under ADR chapter 1.4 does not disappear when a load is passed on, so we need to know who is actually carrying it.
Can I work with other brokers at the same time?
Yes. There is no exclusivity and we do not ask for any.
Money
How is the rate set?
Agreed in writing before you accept, as part of the offer. It does not change afterwards unless the job changes and we agree the change with you.
When do I get paid?
Payment terms are being set as formal policy and are not published on this page yet. Ask at info@vektorgroup.eu and you will have them in writing before you take a load.
Who do I invoice?
Vektor, once, in euro, quoting the transport reference. You never invoice or chase the shipper.
What if a rate or a deduction is disputed?
It goes to info@vektorgroup.eu with the transport reference and is decided against the offer and the signed CMR by a person, with a reasoned answer.
Your capacity, our freight network
Tell us what you run and where you run it. We come back when there is freight that fits, not before.
