Backload work, and where it runs
Backload and forward freight we actually place, the corridors our shipper side works, and what is in an offer when it reaches you.
The freight we place
| Type | What it involves | Equipment it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Full loads, road | General palletised and industrial freight moving as a full load. | Curtainsider, box, mega |
| Packed dangerous goods | ADR classes in packages, IBCs and drums, subject to tunnel and quantity rules. | Curtainsider or box with ADR equipment |
| Tank and bulk liquid | Chemicals in tank, where the lining and the previous load decide whether a unit can take the product. | Tank, lined where the product needs it |
| Bulk powder | Dry bulk in silo, discharged by tipping or compressor. | Silo |
| Temperature controlled | Loads that carry a temperature instruction and a record of it. | Reefer |
| Equipment dependent | Machinery and industrial pieces whose dimensions or securing requirements set the vehicle. | Flatbed, low loader, mega |
The corridors
These are the lanes our shipper side books on. We list the ones we work rather than claiming the map.
| Corridor | Typical work |
|---|---|
| Germany and the Netherlands | Full loads, tank and chemical movements in both directions, the densest lane we run. |
| Germany and Belgium | Chemical and general freight to and from the Antwerp cluster. |
| Germany and the Baltics | Tank and industrial freight to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. |
| Germany and Scandinavia | Industrial and chemical freight to Sweden, Denmark and Norway. |
| Germany and Italy | Machinery, building materials and general freight southbound. |
| Germany and Finland | Industrial freight, with the sea leg arranged around the road legs. |
| Poland and the Benelux | Full loads westbound, general and vehicle freight. |
| Estonia and the DACH region | Our own market at the eastern end of the network. |
What is in an offer
Every offer answers the same eight questions, because these are the eight that decide whether you can run it.
| Question | What you get |
|---|---|
| Where | Pickup and delivery, with post codes, and the loading and unloading locations. |
| When | Loading window and delivery window, and whether either is fixed. |
| What | The goods, and for dangerous goods the UN number, class and packing group. |
| How much | Weight, loading metres or pallet spaces, and dimensions where they matter. |
| Which equipment | Trailer type, and any specific requirement such as lining, compartments or securing. |
| ADR detail | Tunnel restriction code, quantity against the 1.1.3.6 threshold where it applies, and any placarding note. |
| Constraints | Site restrictions, cleaning requirements, waiting rules and documents the consignee will want. |
| The rate | Agreed before you accept, not after. |
How an offer reaches you
A shipper books freight
The shipment enters our system with its full requirements.
We match it against carrier profiles
Equipment, corridor, ADR capability and stated availability.
We contact the carriers that fit
With the eight answers above, in writing, so you have something to check.
You accept or decline
There is no obligation attached to any single load, and declining does not affect what you are offered next.
Vektor coordinates the transport
Through to signed CMR and proof of delivery.
Your capacity, our freight network
Tell us what you run and where you run it. We come back when there is freight that fits, not before.
